If you're upgrading your home’s insulation, there are still ways to save through insulation rebates in NL. While traditional insulation grants are limited, programs offering financial incentives can help make your project more affordable. Whether you're installing spray foam insulation or adding attic insulation, these rebates can reduce upfront costs while improving your home’s energy efficiency.

Though the Canada Greener Homes Grant is no longer accepting new applications, interest-free loans of up to $40,000 are still available under the same initiative for eligible energy-efficient upgrades. A new federal program is expected to launch, but no confirmed details have been released. We’ll share updates as they become available.

On-Bill Financing

In addition to rebates, NL Power offers on-bill financing for insulation projects. This program allows you to finance the cost of your insulation project and repay it through your electricity bill. Note that this must be applied for ahead of time, and you’ll need to check eligibility requirements before moving forward.

In addition to rebates, we occasionally offer seasonal discounts on spray foam insulation. These limited-time offers can reduce your overall costs and may be combined with other incentive programs, depending on eligibility.

takeCHARGE PROGRAM

You can get up to $2000 back through Newfoundland Power’s Insulation Rebate program by adding insulation to basement or crawl spaces walls as well as attics. They also offer up to $500 for air sealing. On-bill financing is available for homeowners upon approved credit through Newfoundland Power Financing Plans.

I had my crawl space done and it made a huge difference to the comfort in my home. last winter my floors were always cold, which in turn, have to turn up the heat to compensate.
